Start

One of the ad campaigns that started the obsession for me. It's amazing how relevant it still is today. So much beauty in the desolation.

The long road

I never thought the death of someone I never even knew could effect me as much as his did today. About ten minutes into getting to work and corresponding with customers I saw the headline and literally shrieked the words "Alexander McQueen is dead", and then I cried. Me, the person who tries to look (somewhat) fearlessly into the eyes of as many situations as possible.
I never realized just HOW MUCH his work touched my life until he was gone. Flash backs to being in high school and waiting for his collections to pop up on style.com, buying fashion magazines JUST so I could tear out his ads and the spreads with his pieces to hang on my walls instead of the generic bands or movie stars. I askedmy co-worker, why is it always the brightest ones who seem to have it all that end their lives when they loose something we all take for granted every day? I told a customer I felt like a star burned out in our world today. It did. Who will be that driving force that he was to so many of us? Who will inspire us to want more in our fashion, in our art? He will be inspiring us for years to come, and for that we are all greatful. RIP Alexander McQueen, you meant so much to so many you didn't even know.

Like dust in the wind

I know I use this word alot but here it is again STUNNING! It's really hard to get much better then this folks. Shalom Harlow shot by Sanchez & Mongiello for Numero magazine. Such a dainty, yet hard look to all these shots, and again would KILL for these pieces!

Oh and shout out to anyone attending the Multiplane show at Corey Helford Gallery tonight, my lack of a ride and too much rain for a bus has limited my chances of being able to go, BUT hopefully I'll be able to see the show before it's over cause it looks AMAZING from the images I've seen so far.

Make me a monster

Ok, last major photo dump of the night (obviously I'm feeling much more inspired today!). I absolutely adore these images from the latest dazed and confused magazine. I freaking love the use of latex in this pictorial. I wish my company's had been used in this shoot as we have some almost identical pieces to the ones used, typically though foreign magazines tend to stick to their local latex providers, however, and we only get put in American shoots.

Halloween!

Sorry for the complete and utter bombardment of images from this shoot, I couldn't settle on just a few! The whole things seems incomplete if any stand by themselves. I love this so, so much though. Wouldn't these just be the most amazing Halloween outfits if you were rich? I know would feel foxy in 'em! I especially love the Mcqueen ugly duckling look! Tim Walker (naturally) for Harper's Baazar

Outlandish

There's just something so outrageous, and fun, and almost drag queen like about these photos by Mario Sorrenti, that I couldn't help but fall in love with them! (click to enlarge, they're much more enjoyable up close!)

Sanctuary

I love the lush scenery mixed with the high fashion in this gorgeous editorial from W magazine. The drama of the darker shades work so well with the tropical greens.
